Blakes Rocker DamageIt seems that this event is extremely rare and I have dedicated this page in finding the solution to how this occurs.
This is the damage that occured after around 1500 miles of usage. There is really no telling when the damage occured. It is really awkward because you would think i would have noticed the damage during routine valve clearances checks but nothing ever came out wrong in them. I discovered this damage only a few weeks after doing a valve adjustment in which there was nothing catching the feeler gauge and the base of the lobe didnt look as though it was sitting in a divot.
I have determined that this damage was started by an oiling issue. During the times at which i never noticed anything wrong, i was running 5w30 mobil1 full synthetic oil. i switched to amsoil 0w30 full synthetic and it seems that this could possibly be the answers to my problems.

I added my problem to the thread above and got some good info. Apparently I installed the valve seals improperly. Will update more as I find out.

More information about this problem. T.O.O. believes that the h22 motors have "soft" rocker pad material and plans to have harder replacement rocker assemblies at a fraction of honda's cost soon.
Also, there is a treatment used called casidiam. check it out at www.anatechltd.com
