Guide To New Honda Ecu Connectorsfor anyone who actually finds this. Many people complain about whoring out how to get brand new OE Honda connectors, plugs and receptacles. AMP produces these connectors and they are sold by tyco electronics.
Start here: www.tycoelectronics.com
Under electronic components, click on the link that takes you to View All Products.
Next, click the tab that says Industry and select the Automotive sector. This will take you to a page which asks you for car, truck or custom solutions. For our Honda/Acura applications, choose the car systems. The next page displays all the cars systems. Chassis, body, security, powertrain...etc. The Power Train Systems is where you want to go for ECU connectors. The type of connectors in OBD1 Honda/Acura applications are called MULTILOCK. Click that link then click MULTILOCK connectors and contacts.
At this point we are able to narrow down the type of connector that we want. If you want the receptacle cap with the pins already there, go to show all options under product type and select housing assembly. If you want the empty housing just select housing.
Now, OBD1 connectors have two rows. Select two rows to narrow it down even further.
I think you get the point now. You can either choose the receptable cap (the part on the ecu itself) or the plug (what plugs into the ecu).
OBD1 configuration is 16, 22, 26 for the connector mating pins with a total of 64 pins. the receptacle configuration is 040/070 Hybrid.
goodluck.
